Hilary Duff Fairfax Concert reviews
Amazing intimate show with Daughtry
The LC Pavillion was the perfect setting for an intimate atmosphere with any band, but with Hilary Duff, it was truly amazing! What a great time we had. The boys rocked the crowd, and we still could see the band really well in the grass. I was shooting for a place to stand in the pit, but found sitting just behind there was the best place for my kids ages 8 & 11 to view the concert since they are shorter than all the adults there.
I'd probably go see Hilary Duff anytime they were in my area. The only negative comments about this event is that being a non-smoking family, we were bothered by people who were inconsiderate and blew smoke right into the faces of my kids. We'd choose a non-smoking event over a smoking one after this show. We were shocked to see people that rude when they were inches from little kids. Another thing is that people in the grass tend to sit the entire show, according to a man I spoke with, but a group of people in front of us stood and blocked many of us from seeing Carolina Liar during the opening act. Eventually, everyone stood for Hilary Duff, but they didn't seem to notice or care that they were the only ones at that time and ruined it for about 20 or more people sitting behind them. Grrrr!
The 5-hour ride from our home to this show was well worth it for this Hilary Duff die-hard. We even got to meet J.P. & Brian from the band beforehand through a fence, which was an unexpected surprise. They both gave autographs and were so sweet. J.P. squatted down and talked to my little girl for about 2 mins, which made her feel so special. We love this band! They are well oiled after 2+ years on the road, and the L.C. Pavillion was an awesome way to hear them perform before they hit the big venues later this year. A++++++ to this event!
